Moorooroo accelerates into new markets with grant funding

Six South Australian companies have received grant funding as part of the latest round of the South Australia Export Accelerator (SAEA) program.

Approximately, $113,880 was awarded in Round Six of the SAEA and $1.83 million has been awarded to South Australian businesses since Round One.

Barossa Valley winery Moorooroo Estate Wines received $29,000 to support the winery’s expansion into new and existing markets.

CEO of parent company Schild Estate Wines Sue Henderson said competition is more heated than ever, with many winemaking nations offering quality wine at great prices.

“We must therefore keep up a high level of engagement with customers to maintain and grow sales,” Ms Henderson said.

“In the new COVID-19 environment, we aim to reboot sales with all our customers across all markets.

“Exports sales will take longer than our domestic market to recover, given the intense nature of the pandemic in countries with greater population densities.

“We will have a lot of work to do and the funding is very helpful at this time.”
