Nominations open for South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards

09 May 2023
Nominations are now open for South Australian exporters and businesses to enter the inaugural South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards that, for the first time will feature business award categories.

Previously known as the Premier’s Export Awards, this year’s awards, delivered in conjunction with Business SA, have been broadened to feature award categories for local businesses as well as South Australia’s exporters, with 26 awards in total available.

“Business SA hosted the last major export awards in 2019 and for many years prior,” said Andrew Kay, CEO Business SA.

“The addition of general business awards to the program elevates the occasion and allows us to shine the spotlight on the many businesses around our state who are doing great things, whether their focus is local, national, or global.

“The willingness of the Premier to see this happen has been instrumental in securing government support and raising the profile of these awards.”

The export awards recognise excellence in the export of goods and services by South Australian businesses.

Winners of the export awards will be eligible for the 61st national Australian Export Awards to be held in Canberra in November.

“REDARC was the proud overall winner of the 2022 South Australian Premier’s Export Award, and we went on to win the Award for the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Category at the 2022 Australian Export Awards,” said Anthony Kittel, CEO of REDARC Electronics.

“The South Australian Premier’s Export Award recognises excellence by South Australian businesses in the export of goods and services. Winning this award reflects the outstanding achievements of our REDARC team in taking our domestically proven products to export markets including North America, United Kingdom, Europe, New Zealand, the Middle East, South Korea and South Africa.

“Being able to replicate our domestic success in global markets is amazingly satisfying and receiving recognition for that on a global stage is just a wonderful achievement for our committed team.”
