South Australia is internationally recognised as a reliable, safe and sustainable producer and exporter of premium fresh and value-added food and beverages, grown in a clean environment, using world-leading technology and regulated production practices.

Producing 80% of Australia’s premium wine*, South Australia is home to 700 wineries, 500 cellar doors – within an hours’ drive of the capital city of Adelaide, and over 3,250 grape growers - many of whom are exporting to markets around the world.

*premium wine is defined as wine grape sales over AUD$2,000 per tonne across all Australian wine.
