Growing South Australian exports through the Wine Export Recovery and Expansion Program

South Australian wineries are benefiting from a new 4 year Wine Export Recovery and Expansion Program to support companies to diversify into new markets and grow sales of premium South Australian wines across the globe. 

Support for the wine industry through this new program will increase South Australian wine exports in priority developing and emerging markets.

The program consists of a series of campaigns and grant opportunities with a priority upon retail, eCommerce, business-to-business opportunities for new-to-market companies, brand promotion, wine education and international trade visits, when travel is permitted.

South Australian Wine Ambassadors Club 

The South Australian Wine Ambassadors Club is an initiative of the Wine Export Recovery and Expansion Program. It is designed to create an international network of advocates who will contribute to raising the profile, reputation, and awareness of South Australian wine internationally, as well as influencing their communities to drive sales through targeted trade and educational activities.

Official Club Patrons are James Halliday, AM, Australia’s most distinguished and accomplished wine critic and judge, and renowned South Australian wine journalist and educator, Tony Love. They will provide club Ambassadors with first-hand knowledge, education, and exclusive opportunities to effectively promote and sell premium South Australian wines.

US Market Entry Program 2023-2024

The Department for Trade and Investment (DTI) will support wineries to participate in Wine Australia’s US Market Entry Program

The US Market Entry Program is a successful business matching program for South Australian wineries entering the US market, providing resources, professional advice, and tailored client interactions to help gain in-market representation.

Wineries considering the US Market Entry Program should express interest by  31 March 2023.

A local success story: Golding Wines and the US Market Entry Program

Rising from the ashes following the 2019 bushfires, Golding Wines has adapted to COVID-19 and set its sights on growth.
